Hostile Entities & Aggro Mechanics

Hostile Entities & Aggro Mechanics

The wasteland is inhabited by aggressive hostile entities that patrol dangerous territories. Understanding enemy behavior, perception limits, and combat rules is essential for every survivor.

The Lure HUD Requirement

Enemies in Vortex strictly target survivors whose Lure HUD is active. When your Lure switch is toggled ON, the enemy detects your presence within an Aggro Radius of 8 metres. If your Lure is turned OFF, hostile entities will completely ignore you and continue wandering harmlessly.

Detection and De-Aggro

Once engaged, a ground enemy will pursue you at full chase speed. However, if you manage to break line of sight or exceed the De-Aggro Radius of 18 metres, the enemy will abandon the chase and resume its normal ambient wandering routine.

Victory Points

Engaging in combat against hostile entities rewards courageous survivors. Defeating an enemy awards Victory Points directly to your survivor profile, boosting your standings on the global leaderboards.
