Engineered specifically to solve the most common and frustrating mesh upload issues in Second Life and OpenSim: circular face materials (outside, inside, top, bottom), 8-material limits on 15+ face linksets, subdivided flat faces causing image distortion, transparent or missing polygons, inverted backface culling, hollow cavity culling, and high Land Impact (LI).

Circular Objects: Outside, Inside, Top & Bottom

For circular objects (cylinders, pipes, tubes, cones), 1 material is assigned to the curved outer wall, 1 to the curved inner cavity wall, 1 to the upper/top cap face, and 1 to the lower/bottom cap face. All normals point strictly outward and are 100% visible.

🔮 8-by-8 Linkset Chunker (15+ Faces)

A single mesh in Second Life cannot exceed 8 materials. When your object contains 15 faces, Vortex generates 15 distinct materials (1 on each face) and organizes the model into 2 linked mesh prims (8 materials on Prim 1 and 7 materials on Prim 2). All 15 faces render in real time with distinct colors.

Dense grids of subdivided triangles on flat planar faces are automatically dissolved into a single un-subdivided flat face (minimal boundary quad/polygon). Planar UVs are normalized from [0, 0] to [1, 1] so images apply completely flat across the face in Second Life.
