In the irradiated soil of the Vortex wasteland, botany has taken a strange and mutated turn. Mutant Plants are eternal agricultural organisms that survivors cultivate in-world to generate vital resources automatically. Like companion pets, mutant plants are immortal—they never wither permanently or die out.
Cultivating Eternal Mutant Plants
To begin farming, deploy a mutant plant container in-world. Once rezzed, the plant links to your web dashboard and initiates its growth cycle across 3 stages: Seedling, Sprout, and Mature. Once mature, the plant produces resources continuously.
Hydration, Nutrients & Mutation States
Plants rely on two vital maintenance pools managed from the website dashboard:
- Hydration (Water): Consumed hourly. Managed via 10x Pure Water.
- Nutrients (Fertiliser): Maintains growth velocity and health. Replenished via 5x Fertiliser.
Dual-Tier Botanical Yields
Because mutant plants are eternal, running out of water or fertiliser will never destroy the plant. Instead, severe dehydration or nutrient depletion triggers a Sinister Mutation State, altering the plant's synthesised yield:
- Hydrated & Fertilised Plants (Pristine Yields): Produces pure botanical resources including Radiation Herb, Mutated Fruit, Glow Spore, Bio-Resin, and Mutagen Extract.
- Neglected / Dry Plants (Sinister Yields): Dehydrated mutant flora mutates rapidly, producing uncanny, dark resources such as Eldritch Flesh, Corrupted Spores, Dark Void Residue, Toxic Seeds, and Sinister Relics.
Inventory Management & In-World Delivery
Harvested botanical resources deposit directly into your web inventory under the Botany & Mutant Resources tab on your profile page. Every resource item features a SEND TO SL button to dispatch physical objects directly to your Second Life avatar via the in-world Item Server for trading or crafting.
