The Scrap Prizes system is an environmental mechanic that rewards players for exploring the wasteland and securing resource zones. Players can discover Scrap Piles scattered across the world (look for the "Scrap Pile (Click to Camp)" floating text).

When a survivor interacts with a Scrap Pile, they will be asked to "Camp" at that specific parcel for a random duration between 30 and 60 seconds. During this time, the survivor must remain within the parcel boundaries. Leaving the parcel or teleporting away will immediately cancel the camping attempt, resulting in failure.

To use the Scrap Pile, you must be wearing the Vortex HUD, which allows the system to register your activity and safely deliver the items to your inventory.

If the camping period is completed successfully, the player will randomly find 3 units of a valuable resource. The types of resources and the chances of finding them depend on the area and the specific Scrap Pile configuration. Possible rewards include:

• ▸Basic Materials: Wood, Stone, Cloth, Water, Meat, etc.
• ▸Valuable Resources: Copper, Iron, Gold, Platinum, Gasoline, Rad Stones, and more!

Scrap Piles have a strict 1-hour cooldown per player. Once you have successfully looted a Scrap Pile, you must wait 60 minutes before you can camp at that exact location again. This cooldown is securely tracked by the server to ensure a fair economy.
