Overview
Vortex Arch Studio Pro is a next-generation, browser-based procedural 3D architecture, building, and corridor generator engineered specifically for Second Life and OpenSim virtual environments.
Core Features
- Procedural Geometry Engine: Real-time WebGL and Three.js 3D viewport allowing instant adjustment of building footprint (Width, Depth, Ceiling Height), wall thickness, and multi-floor vertical stacking.
- Openings & Structural Detailing: Configurable doorway apertures (Sci-Fi slanted airlocks, fortified bunker hatches, wide arches, and panoramic double glass doors), window arrays, structural load-bearing pillars, and entrance staircases.
- Roof Topologies: Select from reinforced glass skylights, industrial gable trusses, floating cantilevers, geodesic domes, or flat rooftop parapets with balcony railings.
- Multi-Material Face Slotting: Every exported model is pre-assigned up to 6 discrete Second Life material faces (mat_exterior, mat_interior, mat_floor, mat_metal, mat_glass, mat_roof) enabling multi-face texturing directly inside the viewer.
- 1-Click Collada (.DAE) 1.4.1 Export: Produces clean, manifold, UV-mapped Collada files fully compliant with the Second Life mesh upload wizard.
- Automated Physics Mesh Generator: Exports a matching _physics.dae collision hull ensuring flawless avatar navigation and walkability at the lowest possible Land Impact (0.5 to 1.0 LI).
How to Import into Second Life
- Design your building or corridor in Vortex Arch Studio Pro (/arch-studio).
- Click Export .DAE Mesh to download the visual model, and Export Physics to download the collision hull.
- In your Second Life Viewer (e.g. Firestorm), go to Build > Upload > Model... and select your visual .dae file.
- In the Physics tab, select From file and choose the _physics.dae file.
- Calculate weights, review the Land Impact fee, and click Upload.
