Vortex Social Jukebox & YouTube Playlist Streaming
The Vortex Social Network features integrated multimedia intelligence that automatically detects, formats, and renders rich YouTube Playlists and music streams directly inside the community feed.
How to Broadcast a YouTube Playlist
Broadcasting a music playlist to the entire Second Life community is seamless:
- Copy any standard YouTube playlist link (e.g.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...) or video URL containing a playlist parameter (e.g.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...&list=PL...). - Paste the URL directly into the Post Media URL field or into your status transmission text.
- Click TRANSMIT UPDATE. The system automatically parses the playlist ID and embeds a dedicated Cyber Jukebox player.
Interactive Jukebox Control Deck
Every shared playlist card is equipped with an interactive control deck communicating directly with the YouTube Player API:
- ⏮️ PREV TRACK: Immediately skips back to the previous track in the playlist queue.
- ▶️ PLAY / ⏸️ PAUSE: Instantly toggles audio and video playback.
- ⏭️ NEXT TRACK: Advances seamlessly to the next song in the playlist.
- 🔀 SHUFFLE: Toggles random playlist order for dynamic listening sessions.
- 🎬 YOUTUBE ↗: Opens the original external YouTube playlist page in a new browser tab.
The Survivor Radio Jukebox Showcase
