⚔️ Wasteland Factions & Guild Headquarters Guide
Wasteland Factions allow survivors in Vortex Game SL to unite under a shared Banner, pool resources into a Clan Vault, unlock powerful passive area buffs, and establish claimed territory in Second Life using In-World Faction Totems.
1. Establishing a Faction
Any survivor with 1,000 Money and no active clan membership can establish a new Faction. Upon creation, the founder sets:
- Faction Name: Official name of the Guild (e.g. Iron Brotherhood).
- Clan Tag: A 2-6 character uppercase tag displayed in SL and on the web dashboard (e.g. [IRON]).
- Icon Emoji: Emblem symbol representing the Faction.
2. Faction Vault & Resource Donations
The Clan Vault is a central repository where all members can deposit Money and survival materials (Wood, Copper, Iron, Gold, Meat, Water, Vegetables). Every donation awards Faction Experience and increases member contribution ranks.
3. Faction Level Progression & Area Buffs
As the Clan Vault grows, the Faction levels up, unlocking passive buffs for all clan members in the Wasteland:
- Level 1 (1,000 EXP): 🌟 +5% Resource Harvest Boost — Increased yield when gathering wood, ore, and crops.
- Level 2 (2,000 EXP): 🌟 +10% Sanity Regeneration — Faster mental recovery in the wasteland.
- Level 3 (3,000 EXP): 🌟 +15% Combat Damage Multiplier — Enhanced damage against mutant aberrations and bosses.
- Level 4 (4,000 EXP): 🌟 Storm Hazard Immunity in Faction Territory — Total immunity against Acidic Rain, Radiation Tempests, and Scorching Heatwaves when inside claimed clan territory.
4. In-World Faction Totems & Second Life Territory
Faction Leaders can place a Faction Totem object (VORTEX_Faction_Totem.lsl) on their Second Life parcel. The Totem automatically synchronises its 3D coordinates, displays hovering status text, and broadcasts active Faction buffs to members in the region.
